Block apps downloading over data

I experience the problem no matter where I am, with LTE or 4G coverage, and I have plenty of data left for this billing cycle. Even on slow WiFi networks, updates still download slowly. They don't even start when I'm on the mobile network. If it works, I assume the data restriction for Youtube is being applied to Google Play Services as well.

It wouldn't hurt to try. If you want to prevent downloading and installing any new app to your iPhone, you can set thatup in Screen Time as well. You can also disable deleting apps in a similar manner.

On the same menu, choose not toallow deleting apps. Plus, you can prevent in-app purchases for any downloaded apps. This is great if you want tocontrol your spending.
