Pdf downloads as giberish

Looking perfectly on the computer screen and the print preview, the gibberish text which is a messy combination of Greek letters only appears in certain fonts on the paper. It should therefore be related to font embedding error. I have attempted almost all solutions available on the web but to no avail. Reinstallation of the software doesnt solve the problem either. It persists even on Acrobat XI after using the preflight to to check and fix embedding error.
